Regeneration
Group
The
Regeneration Group aims to help keep our church active and alive by
finding improved ways of reaching out to people and by looking at how we
can make improvements in what we do. Since its formation in 2005,
the Regeneration Group has introduced a number of new initiatives.
These include:
-
Seasonal
Communion Services which help to bridge the gap between the Family
Services and the more formal Parish Communion.
-
Family
Services with Holy Communion which provide an occasional simple
communion service for those who attend our Family Services.
-
Welcome
Leaflets and Family Brochures which help people to learn
more about what we can offer them.
-
New
Service Booklets to support our church services.
-
This
Church Website which has about 20,000 'hits' each month.
-
A
Baptism Preparation DVD (made in co-operation with Luton Sixth Form College) which
shows people what happens when you are baptised in our church.
-
Parish
Walks which help to introduce people to the beauty of our local
area.
-
Summer
Holiday Clubs for children.
-
Discussion
Groups for adults who want to explore a little more about the
Christian Way.
Ideas
generated by this group were largely responsible for the Church being a
finalist in the Ecclesiastical Insurance Competition, Your Church in a Changing
Society.
The
group also tried out running a Story Club for around a year which has since been
discontinued.
