Sharpenhoe Rd Dear Reader,
If you are local to Streatley, you may have seen me pounding the pavements over the last few months, well, let me tell you why! I am running the London Marathon in April to raise money for Kidney Research UK. Their mission is to fund life saving research into kidney disease, to improve the quality of life of those with kidney disorders and to increase public awareness of kidney health. My son Connor suffers from chronic kidney disease. There is no cure for kidney disease or kidney failure and he will need lifelong treatment. It is estimated that as many as 1 in 10 people in the UK have chronic kidney disease – a number which is set to rise dramatically over the next decade. It can affect any one of us at any time in our lives. If you would like to
sponsor me you can visit my on-line sponsorship page at www.justgiving.com/trudichandler Alternatively, give me a
ring (01582) 883471 and I’ll pop round with a sponsor form! With around 90% of people
on the Organ Donor Register waiting for a kidney, Kidney Research UK is
committed to helping to improve the organ donation rates.
TRANSPLANTS SAVE LIVES. To
find out more visit www.uktransplant.org.uk
and consider becoming an organ donor. Kidney Research UK makes
research possible for the future of renal medicine.
Visit www.kidneyresearchuk.org
for more information. Any
donation you make will be very much appreciated and will go towards
helping Connor and those like him. Thank you! Hope to see you back in church if I make it to the finish! Kind regards, Trudi Chandler. Click here
