Parish Walk - 12th September 2010

The third of this year's Parish Walks will take place on Sunday 12th September, starting as usual at 2:00pm.

We plan to meet at "Bushmead Centre" where the shops and the pub sit within a loop of Hancock Drive.  There is a reasonable amount of parking in this area and so this should present no problems.  The starting point for the walk is at the gap between the John Dony Centre and Christchurch (ie about as far from the pub as is possible within the Bushmead Centre!)

The walk will take us to Butterfield Green, across Stopsley Common and back via the Bradgers Hill Nature trail to the Bushmead Centre and is a little bit more than three miles all told.  The path up to Butterfield Green is the only part that is noticeably uphill but Roger might well call this a "puffy bit".  We will therefore take it at a suitably leisurely pace.

The walk should take a bit less than two hours so we should be back at Bushmead by 4:00 pm at the latest.

The usual caveats about clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather apply but ring (01582) 650 262 if the day is wet.
