The Kneelers

Designed and made by members of the congregation they were intended to give a snapshot of the church as it was at the time when they were made.

There are views of the church inside and out. There are kneelers representing:

  • The festivals celebrated here

  • The coats of arms of the Diocese (St. Albans) and the Province (Canterbury) to which we belong.

  • The different church organisations that were in existence at the time.

  • Abstract designs that reflect either the designs on our communion vestments or are taken from the decorative panels on the font.
