Senior citizens are sometimes being criticised for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world - real or imaginary.
However, following careful research, a group of seniors would like to point out that it wasn't them who took:

The courtesy out of driving,

The commitment out of marriage,

The responsibility out of parenthood,

The togetherness out of the family,

The learning out of education,

The service out of patriotism,

The nativity scene out of cities,

The civility out of behaviour,

The refinement out of language,
-
The dedication out of employment,
-
The prudence out of spending,
-
The ambition out of achievement,

God out of government and school.
The same group of seniors
would like to point out that:

They're very good at opening childproof caps - with a hammer.

They're usually interested in going home before they get to where they're am going.

They're awake many hours before their body allows them to get up.

They smile all the time because they can't hear a thing you're saying.

They're very good at telling stories; over and over and over and over.

They're aware that other people's grandchildren are not nearly as cute as their own..
They're not really grouchy, they just don't like:

Traffic,

Waiting,
-
Crowds,
-
Lawyers,
-
Loud music,
-
Unruly kids,
-
Barking dogs,
-
and a few other things they can't seem to remember right now.
