Church Garden Fete The sun shone, the band played and the younger members of the parish engaged in gladiatorial combat. There was an art exhibition in the church, birds of prey in the church yard and, in the garden of Streatley House, a wide range of traditional entertainments, including tombolas, hoop-la, a coconut-shy (the Vicar proudly won a coconut, much to the amazement of the stallholders) and a 'Punch and Judy' which captivated the children. Ice cream was available, along with hot-dogs, teas, cakes and candy floss and there were numerous stalls selling jewellery, books, gifts and so on. It was brilliant - we can't wait to do it all again next year. Click here to see what the fete looked like in 2008. Toddington Town Band Some younger members of the Parish settle their differences |
